The Jones County School District is proud to be able to offer free meals to all enrolled students for the 21-22 school year, thanks to a waiver granted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. We still ask families to submit free and reduced meal applications. Your determination in regards to free, reduced, or paid does not have an effect on your account for the 21-22 school year, you will still receive the free meals. However, your eligibility determination will carry over for the first 30 days of the next school year, and these applications are used for more than determining eligibility for free and reduced-price meals. At the District level, free and reduced student numbers are used to help determine state and federal grant funding. These grants are an important part of the Jones County School District’s budget. The application can be found in the JC App under documents, on the JC Webpage or at the either of the school offices.
