Greetings all!
Picture Day is coming up Thursday, September 23. We have a new company this year and they will be utilizing a green screen, so do not wear green. There will be no forms from the school and no need to bring in money. You can preview, personalize and purchase images online. Only preschool-12 grade students will have their pictures taken. They do not do younger kids, only those registered as part of the school. There is also no class picture, but you can purchase a collage of the classmates. Be sure and check out the flyer with the event code a few days after picture day.
Playground equipment has arrived and a huge shout of thanks to West Central Electric for unloading the semi. Workdays will be Friday, Sept. 24 and Saturday, Sept. 25 beginning at 7:30 a.m. We need strong people and tools please. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Friday, Sept. 24 is also Coyote Friday so there is no school except for those students the teachers have asked to come in for extra help in the morning.
September 29 will be Parent Teacher conferences from 2:00-6:00. School will dismiss at 1:45 this day.
Friday October 1 all staff will be attending in-service in Presho so there will be no school.
If you ordered a quick test from Mrs. Esmay please stop in at the Elementary before or after school and pick it up.
The SD Department of Health updates their site daily on the number of COVID-19 cases in our county and state. There is a link on our school web page. We continue to watch increases in our county and counties around us and understand the risk of greater exposure for us all. Limiting the community spread in the schools is vital for us to operate as close to normal as we can at this time. Parents, please be watchful for children with symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 illness and if not feeling well, please stay home.
